1st. Finnegan's Oakmoon Diamond Sky. Raw 7 months b/m baby with good angulation and reach of neck. Her coat is of good texture but needs to grow to complete the overall picture. Her head is developing well and she has a well placed dark eye and expressive ears, though stop needs to clean as yet. A happy and confident girl, she showed and moved well.
Open B (15, 8)3rd. Finnegan’s Oakmoon Lady Madonna. Tri b of nice type and well balanced, with good angulation and reach of neck. Just coming back into coat after her litter (daughter won the MPB class) but her lack of furnishings only served to emphasise her lovely shape. Pleasing head and expression though woulprefer a sweeter eye. Moved freely and with drive.
Pat Hutchinson (Judge).
The Oakmoon girls went out for their first show together yesterday for Lucy's debut. We had a fabulous day. Lucy got a first in the puppy class on her very first time in the ring. Then Nell got a first in Open Bitch. This was Nell's first class in amost a year, so I was thrilled. When we went to the winners class Karen O'Neill handled Nell and I kept Lucy in line. It was fabulous. Then Lucy again got a first in the Collie Club minor puppy bitch class. All in all a wonderful day at Cloghran :)
Thank you to Maureen Timmons for the photos
Two generations of Oakmoon collies in one ring.
We will not be going to any shows for a while as Nell has more important things on her mind- three little squirmy important things to be exact. But we will be back in the ring with Nell later in the year and soon we will have a new entry in the show circuit in about six months, so watch this space....
Nell in action taking second in the intermediate bitch and best tricolour in show. A wonderful day and thanks to Natalie Kyle for the photos.
Oakmoon Lady Madonna at her first show the Irish Collie Club Open Show 21 February 2009. Well we went to the show and Nell got first prize in Minor Puppy Bitch and Novice Bitch and Best Reserve Puppy. It was a great day and everybody had a great time. Thank you to Karen O'Neill for the photo.
